Review: Inexpensive Colored Pencils

Here is a set of colored pencils I bought for my two grandchildren to share. I did not want to invest on expensive pencils. This set brings a black sturdy case with 72 colored pencils . Price is unbelievable $16 and they color smoothly. The colors are vibrant and pencils are strong. It is a great bargain for children and adults too. Below is a picture from Amazon where I bought it.

Colored Pencils for Adult Coloring Books, 72 Colors Drawing Pencils with Soft Oil-Based Cores, Professional Art Supplies for Artists, Vibrant Color Pencil Set In Zipper Case for Teens , children and adults.

Review: Colorit The Colorful World of Steampunk

Here I am in 2024 and I started coloring again . I have always loved to color but life gets in the way and I sometimes don’t have time.

I have bought a new book from Colorit that I love ‘The Colorful World of Steampunk . The paper quality is awesome. And the drawings are fun to color. I have colored 2 pages so far . I used my Prisma Colored Pencils.

The paper is cardstock paper no marker or gel will bleed through. The book has 50 pages of gorgeous drawings made by hand . So much detail that its a joy to color every drawing . I bought it in Amazon for $20 but you can also purchase it directly thru Colorit and if you buy multiple books at one time you get a discount depending how many you buy.  Here are 2 pages I colored with Prisma Color Pencils.

Below I colored these two pages with Ohuhu markers. Mind you I am still learning how to blend colors and shading. .

Review: Manic Botanic Coloring Book

Well not to happy with this one. First let me say that the drawings are beautiful.  The pages are packed with drawings, but there are two things I don't like .  The first is that the lines on drawings are thick and dark, not much space to color in them. Some areas almost look like blobs of black lines. Sometimes you can't tell what belongs to what.  Second and most important to me is the quality of paper the coloring book is made of.  The cover is of thinner paper then what I am used to.  The pages are thin and when you color the color does not blend nicely, you can see the grainy areas no matter how much you color over it.  Even when I use the blending color pencils it does not work like I expect it.  All in all I will not color in it again.   Whoever leaves me a comment on this post I will send coloring book to them for free.  That way they can try it and see if they still like it.
Here is a sample of what I colored which was one page only.

See the what grainy in between the yellow.
