Review: Manic Botanic Coloring Book

Well not to happy with this one. First let me say that the drawings are beautiful.  The pages are packed with drawings, but there are two things I don't like .  The first is that the lines on drawings are thick and dark, not much space to color in them. Some areas almost look like blobs of black lines. Sometimes you can't tell what belongs to what.  Second and most important to me is the quality of paper the coloring book is made of.  The cover is of thinner paper then what I am used to.  The pages are thin and when you color the color does not blend nicely, you can see the grainy areas no matter how much you color over it.  Even when I use the blending color pencils it does not work like I expect it.  All in all I will not color in it again.   Whoever leaves me a comment on this post I will send coloring book to them for free.  That way they can try it and see if they still like it.
Here is a sample of what I colored which was one page only.

See the what grainy in between the yellow.

Coloring Brings Back Memories

I have always loved coloring.  When I was a child I remember browsing at the Sears Catalog toy section.  They had so many toys that my sister and I would sit for hours looking and marking the toys we wanted for christmas.  I always asked for colored pencils especially the sets in box also a pad.  I would always get a coloring book in my stocking.  Those were the best christmas' for me.  Below are a couple of catalogs and pencil set that I am not sure how old this brand is....

Review: Kohinoor Woodless Pencils

These pencils come in 12 and 24 piece box.  They come in plastic sturdy tray great for storing.  They are made without the outside wood.  It has beautiful colors and its smooth when you use them.   Pencils have a long lasting point and stay sharp longer then the other wood pencils.  They are economical about $25 a box.

Review: Kaiser Colour Gel Pens

This boxed Kaiser Colour set of gel pens come in a 24 pack. Twelve are neon pens and the other twelve are glitter pens.  They are very fine point, great for the tiny lines and spaces.  I looked all over the plastic box that it comes in to find size of point but nowhere to be found but I can guess that it is around 0.3cm.
I really enjoy using these pens, they glide smoothly especially the glitter ones.  I wish they had more variety of colors.  I would love to see the glitter pens sold separately.
